Yo men! Gee some TV ads are cheesy! Have you seen the one where the father sends his son to the fridge to grab him a beer, and when the sons gets there, he turns into a grown man, a dad himself, takes a big swig of the beer, then sends his son to go get him another? If you’ve seen the ad, you know exactly what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, then you’ve read that sentence and wondered what drugs I’m taking today…
Anyways, it got me thinking…not so much about beer…but about the legacy that we pass on to our kids. So most of you are thinking right now “Kids? I don’t have any kids!” That’s true, but one day, most of you will. And so the question remains, what legacy will you pass on to them? Because the fact is that the behaviours and attitudes that have RIGHT NOW are going to affect, negatively or positively, your legacy to your children. And especially to your sons…
I don’t think any of us want our sons to be addicted to porn, to see and treat women as objects of lust. We want them to be fantastic husbands, excellent fathers and world changing followers of Jesus. That’s what I want anyway. So I come back to what I’m doing now, what I’m building into my life, into my character, into my sexuality, that will be passed on to my son/s. And as I type that, I realise that we pass this on, just as much, to our daughters.
The decisions you make today about sexual purity don’t just affect you. Don’t be fooled – there is more at stake than your own purity. Think about it.
And fight strong!

Litmus Test...
Watching the ad you have highlighted Sam, I'm challenged that ads are a pretty good litmus test for our culture & society. Advertisers spend millions of dollars researching us; the consumer, targeting us to understand how best to get our attention. There campaigns are directed to grab the local audience (not global).
What is the saying, 'Sex sells', what does this advertising say about our culture? However I believe that we can change this image, perception, our culture. If we do not support/watch programs that encourage sexual themes & advertising, they become less profitable and are replaced with other programming & associated ads.
What do you watch? Is it really worth that time?
Think about it.
