Mark Sayers on "sexy"

Mark Sayers' latest blog post, Beneath the Surface of “Sexy”. The Cautionary Tale of Brigitte Bardot, has some great thoughts on what society sees as the meaning of "sexy", and what implications it has when someone can be called "sexy" no longer.

It is well worth dwelling also upon a common equivalent for males: "cool".  Both "sexy" and "cool" are manufactured terms that have no meaning apart from image - there is nothing of substance behind them.  The Bible has a bit to say about "sexy" too: check it out in Proverbs 5.
