Statistics on male spirituality from George Barna

In an older podcast episode, Stephen Arterburn quotes some profoundly disturbing statisics from a George Barna study.  Women are:

  • 100% more likely than men to be involved in a discipleship program
  • 46% more likely than men to spiritually mentor someone
  • 39% more likely than men to spend time alone reading their Bible or praying
  •  29% more likely than men to share their faith

Why do you think that is?  What holds men back from spiritual leadership?
