In an older podcast episode, Stephen Arterburn quotes some profoundly disturbing statisics from a George Barna study. Women are:
- 100% more likely than men to be involved in a discipleship program
- 46% more likely than men to spiritually mentor someone
- 39% more likely than men to spend time alone reading their Bible or praying
- 29% more likely than men to share their faith

Stories like the recent Matthew Johns debacle seem a dime a dozen these days. The biggest lesson i take out of them is: be on your guard, because what you can lose in a situation like the one Johns now admits to is far more than you can ever gain.
